The original Chelsea Barracks were built in 1862 and demolished in 1960 to make way for 2 tower blocks which housed four companies from the Guards Regiment. The site was vacated in 2008 and plans to redevelop the area for housing began.
The redevelopment of the 12.8-acre site includes:
